After graduating from Indiana University in 2010, I worked as an assistant buyer for a chain of department stores in Milwaukee, WI. I soon learned that as much fun as it was to work with clothing, I wasn't making enough money to actually wear much of it. So I left my career in retail behind, went back to IU, and got my MBA in 2014. I now work as a marketing strategist but love blogging in my spare time. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a 12-month work rotation in one of my very favorite cities, Charleston, SC, and recently moved back to Indianapolis. I still consider myself a Hoosier by blood, Charlestonian by choice.

I started Seven&Stitch in early 2014 as a way to channel some positive energy during a devastating breakup (complete honesty here). My good friend, Dalia, suggested starting a style blog and I ran with it! It has been such a great way for me to keep focused and to strengthen my spirit and sense of self.

The name Seven&Stitch came from a personal connection to the number "seven" and "stitch" as a symbol for integrating all of the aspects of life that inevitably define personal style.

I sincerely hope that you will find a little something here to take away with you. Whether this blog serves as a source of style inspiration, or simply a way to pass your lunch break, I can't thank you enough for stopping by.
