Holiday Party Style

Happy Holidays everyone! I can't believe Christmas is 10 days away! JR and I finally found our perfect first home and moved in this past weekend. All of the craziness with the house made the first part of December FLY by, and now I feel like I'm rushing to get our Christmas decorations up so we can at least enjoy a short first Christmas season in our new home.

But before we moved, I took some time on a rainy Sunday to head downtown and meet some local Indy bloggers for a cocktail and holiday shoot! Blogging becomes such a small world once you get sucked in -- I've followed all of these gals for a while but we've never had a chance to meet in person! And it's so funny once you finally do meet, because you feel like you've known each other forever.

I started blogging as a way to channel some positive energy during a difficult transition, but I never dreamed it would grow into a hobby I genuinely enjoy and a way to meet some amazing people! Blogging has introduced me to so many other bloggers that have become friends and some of my biggest supporters. I'm so grateful for the opportunities that this little blog brings, and am so grateful to have you follow along!

Kathleen, Karina, Morgan and I had so much fun sipping cocktails and sampling some apps at Salt on Mass. It's a new seafood restaurant downtown on Mass Ave. JR and I stopped by shortly after it opened and, honestly, we had low expectations. I feel like you always have to give restaurants a few weeks to get into the swing of things. But we were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is beautiful -- the whitewash and nautical accents remind me of Charleston. But the airy light and great cocktails made it a natural choice for our little blogger holiday shoot. It's a great spot for drinks with the girls or a casual date night. I highly recommend.

And the bloggers did not disappoint either! I absolutely love Kathleen's velvet, Karina's bold color, and Morgan's merlot accessories. I personally have a hard time dressing up in the winter months -- it's so hard to pull myself out of leggings, chunky sweaters, and comfy boots. I'm definitely stealing pieces of all these looks as JR and I head out to Christmas parties and a winter wedding. I've linked everyone's blogs above and below, so be sure to follow along for more winter style inspiration.

And huge thank you to Stacy of Stacy Able Photography for making us all look amazing. Stacy will be shooting our wedding in April and I CANNOT WAIT. Her light, airy style is exactly what we wanted for our big day, and her portfolio is stunning. Thanks Stacy!

  2. The pictures and view from their website made us excited to see it, so we booked an appointment and found that these guys do not treat you like just some paycheck. The manager and chef from Seattle Wedding venues were really amazing.
