The New UGG Classic

This past weekend was perfectly sunny and chilly and perfectly fall. I woke up early on Saturday morning to let Ruby out, and I actually pulled out my new UGGs to walk her through the wet grass. There's nothing better than taking the dog outside wrapped in a cozy robe and UGG boots, and coming inside to a warm pot of coffee brewing.

I had still been wearing flip-flops when walking Ruby in the morning early in the week. But the cold morning dew left my feet FREEZING. And there's nothing worse than cold feet on a cold floor early in the morning. That's why I will never, ever give up my UGGs. And it's also why I have been so happy with my new UGG classics -- they are finally stain and water resistant. Thanks so much to Englin's Fine Footwear for sending me a pair of classic shorts to try out.

Englin's has a great selection, free shipping, and it's a lovely family-owned business in Indiana. As Black Friday rapidly approaches (crazy) I'm going to keep reminding everyone to #shopsmall and support local. I'm just as guilty as anyone of constantly ordering from the big department stores, but whenever I can, I opt to support local businesses. Englin's has been family-owned since 1954 and its storefront in Keystone has been a staple since before some of the big-name, high-end shops hit the scene. Go give Englin's a peek! You'll find Hunter, Sorel, New Balance, Sperry, and Birkenstock.

Until the snow hits and I have to break out my heavy-duty boots (hopefully we have a few more months before we worry about that), I'm going to keep my UGGs close. What is the one thing in your closet you'll never give up?!
