Home Inspiration

Home Inspiration

I recently went out to California to visit my longtime friend, Taylor, and I absolutely fell in love with the style of her home. I've always considered my home style a little more traditional, but honestly, I think it's because my mom's home style is more traditional. As I start picking out furniture, decor, and textiles on my own, I've discovered I like things little more modern and a little more...eclectic? It's hard for me to label my personal style because it changes! I like what I like and I don't like what I don't like. Simple as that! Right?

Anyway...boyfriend and I are thinking about buying a house (eek and yay!) and, naturally, I've been somewhat concerned (read: very concerned) with making sure we either have a) a decently sized closet, or b) an extra bedroom for me to turn into a decently sized closet. I wouldn't say boyfriend is one hundred percent aligned to that idea, but that's neither here nor there.

As I think about what my dream closet would look like, I can't stop thinking about Taylor's cool Cali pad. I'm really loving the thought of clean white walls and shelves, with a liiiitle pop of pink and some fun dessert-inspired pieces. This idea of a dream closet could very well change next week or next month, but for now, check out a few pieces and pinterest snaps I'm really digging. And keep in mind that my actual closet will never be on this scale or level of style. But hey, a girl can dream.
