Kimo-no? Kimo-yes!

Indiana gets the best and worst of all seasons. Winters are beautifully frigid, and summers are brightly humid. In the heat and sun, I like to wear clothes that are breezy and loose. I took these pictures during my last week in South Carolina (on my favorite beach walkway, Station 22 1/2 at Sullivan's Island), but the light layers are perfect for Midwestern humidity. I especially love this Urban Outfitters kimono - it's so easy to throw on over a swimsuit, tank, or sundress. If you haven't given the kimono trend a try, I highly recommend it. Take a peek down below for some other great options!

On the topic of a new season, I have to say I am so excited about the summer months in Indiana. Sometimes I feel myself wishing I could have stayed in South Carolina longer (or even forever), but I am so grateful for the life that I live here. I have been so fortunate to have gotten to call some amazing cities home. Each city has played a huge role in shaping who I am today, and I am grateful that those experiences have turned me into a person who is happy to begin to settle down in her hometown, surrounded by friends and family. The other day my boyfriend asked me "Five years ago, where did you think you would be by now?" and honestly, I never would have imagined I would be where I am. But I wouldn't have it any other way, and that, my friends, is a beautiful thing.

Enjoy your summer months wherever you are!
