More Plaid

Okay, I was going to start this post by apologizing for all of the recent plaid. But now that it's officially November, plaid just seems so festive and fun. So I'm just going with it...again. I snagged this little dress off the clearance rack at Nordstrom two winters ago. Hands down one of my favorite purchases ever. When the temperature drops below 50 degrees, it's really hard for me to not pull this little guy out, throw on a turtleneck and boots, and call it a day. I love the slightly mod feel of the cut and the traditional pattern with a modern twist. Ya follow?

Jumpers seem to be making a sudden reemergence this season and I'm loving it. I am also having fun getting this same retro vibe by throwing on a sheer long-sleeved tee under a shift dress. Try it - you'll bring new life to some of your old favorites.

On that same theme, work to breathe new life into something else that may be feeling a little old or worn. Change up a routine, call an old friend, try a new recipe. It may sound silly, but it's surprising how a tiny bit of effort in one aspect of your life can cause a chain reaction. You may surprise yourself. And anyway, what's the worst that can happen?
