Short Story

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend remembering all of those who have fought and died for our country. I spent my weekend in Indianapolis celebrating with family and participating in all of the Indy 500 festivities (I highly recommend going to the race at least once - it should definitely be on everyone's bucket list!). While most of Indy was decked out in black and white - I found myself in shorts like these all weekend. I have a few pairs and they are addicting - almost like walking around in pajamas...very trendy pajamas. I love the tribal-inspired print and have found myself craving more of the tribal trend. If these shorts aren't your thing, try one of these seven printed pieces: Free People beaded dress (I die), Anthropologie blouse, Forever 21 maxi, ASOS romper, Mara Hoffman cover up, Urban Outfitters cami, DV Dolce Vita sandals

C'est La Vie

Keeping with the casual vibe lately, I decided to play around with one of my favorite maxi skirts. I usually throw this on with a chambray shirt and call it a day...but this week I was in the mood to accessorize. I think the fedora and flat sandals give it a relaxed vibe, while the sunglasses and J.Crew necklace add a little glam. How do you rock your maxi skirt?! Try these seven styles: H&M, American Eagle, Alice + Olivia, Splendid, Target, Forever 21, Splendid

Orange Flare

After my MBA graduation this past weekend, and all of the celebrating afterward, I finally have some time to relax, unwind, and enjoy my last moments in Bloomington. It has been a hell of a two years with many changes - some good, some not so good. There have been many laughs and a lot of tears. I am trying to have bright eyes as I look toward the future, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to move down to South Carolina for a short 1-year sales rotation before moving back to Indianapolis to start my career in marketing for a pharmaceutical firm. Better days ahead!

But for now, it's finishing out my time in Indiana...and what better way to relax than with my favorite pair of jeans and a casual white top. It was a great weekend in sundresses and heels, but this week I'm happy to tone it down, take a breath, and let my accomplishments sink in.

Seven other great white Ts: VinceJoie, Gap, Nasty Gal, Banana Republic, Forever 21, Helmut Lang

Fierce Floral

The weather in Bloomington (and Indiana in general for that matter) is fairly...unpredictable. It can be 85 degrees during the day and drop down to 60 in the evening. That's why I have been obsessing over cute jackets lately (I have been wearing the tish out of this Kate Spade number) and was so excited to order this faux leather one from TOBI.com. I have had so much fun playing with textures and patterns. I love the contrast between some of the hard details of the jacket and the soft lace and flower print on the dress. Paired with some old Tory Burch gladiators (I knew they would come back in style), I had an outfit that, I must admit, has already been on repeat. Not into the white faux leather? Try these 7 spring stunners: Free People fitted utility jacket, Forever 21 pastel moto jacket, Madewell folkstitch jacket, Express soft bomber jacket, Joie ailey leather jacket, Splendid monterey jacket, Gap varsity bomber jacket

Loving Lace

If you have been following along with my little blog, you'll know I have a crazy obsession with Rebecca Taylor. I got my first Rebeca Taylor dress at Bloomingdale's a few years ago, before I really even knew who she was. And I became hooked. I constantly scan her website for new finds and I love her mix of feminine and edgy (like this leather caged dress). I was really excited to pick up this lace dress at Saks on sale. It's perfect for an evening summer wedding. And with 5 wedding invitations currently hanging on my fridge, I'm going to need some pretty dresses!

Seven other gorgeous wedding-guest dresses: Rebecca Taylor, Club Monaco, BCBG, Alice and Olivia, Zara, Parker,Ali Ro
